Thank you for your interest in our bantam jamboree to support the Cameron Greenwood fund.
Cam is a 7th grader in Burlington and has been a member of our lacrosse program since 3rd grade bantams. Cam is an avid lacrosse and soccer player who was getting ready for the current season when he was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer that usually affects kids between 11 and 19.
Cam is fighting hard with the support of his town and his lacrosse family. You will see Blue Number 2 “Cam” decals on the helmets of every Burlington team this season, both at the youth and HS levels. You will also see the Sacred Heart and U of Hartford men’s teams wearing the decals in support of Cam.
Our boys and girls jamboree is one of several fundraising efforts to help raise money for Cam's treatment. The jamboree will be held on Sunday June 13th at Malerbo Field in Burlington, CT.
Those of you familiar with the history of our great game know that one of the many reasons the great Native American warriors gathered to play was to heal the sick. We are hopeful that you can join us for this event to raise money for Cam’s treatment and call on the great warrior spirits to join Cam in his battle. We are shooting for a total 16 teams (8 boys/8 girls) with each team playing 4 games. The cost is $200 per team; 100% of which will go directly to the Cam Greenwood Fund.
