Welcome to the Burlington/Harwinton Girls Lacrosse Home Page!
We are thrilled at the continued growth of lacrosse in our towns. In 2010, for the first time we fielded teams at all the Youth levels for Girls: Developmental/Bantam (2nd-4th Grades), Junior (5th-6th Grades) and Senior (7th-8th Grades). In addition, Lewis S. Mills HS played a Varsity Girls Lacrosse schedule for the first time! It's truly exciting times for Girls lacrosse in our area.
Our philosophy at BYLA is simple. We want girls to a) have fun and b) learn the game of lacrosse so they can determine if it is something they want to pursue at the next level. We don't keep track of wins and losses and there is no championship or trophy involved in the Connecticut Valley Girls Lacrosse league in which we participate. We want the girls to learn that competing and sportsmanship go hand in hand and we want to provide an environment where everyone who wants to learn the game can do so, regardless of ability or experience level.
